The Great Commission
Matthew 28: 16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We are all lead by something in our lives; whether that be our family, our faith or sometimes things of worldly origin. The flip side to that is we all have the potential to be leaders. Sometimes we lead in postive ways sometimes in not so positive ways.

In Middle English times sheep herders would place a bell around the neck of one make ram. The sound of this bell became very recognizable by the flock. The sheep would instinctive follow that one ram, called a bellwether, wherever the shepherd would lead.  Are you a follower or are you a Bellwether?

Bellwethers are men and women in the congregation who care for a “flock” of families. Each group of Bellwethers would have an Elder supporting them.

What is God calling you to do? How will you answer His Call?
